Musculoskeletal Treatment
WHAT IS A CHIROPRACTOR?
A Chiropractor is a manual neuromusculoskeletal and human movement expert that can utilize the best scientific principles and research evidence available to most effectively assess, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate musculoskeletal disorders, pain, and movement dysfunction.
Chiropractic treatment is safe, non-invasive, manual approach to the care of the neuromusculoskeletal system (nerves, joints, and connective tissues). Our approach is specific, individualized, and utilizes the best scientific principles and research available to effectively assess, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate the body. Chiropractic manipulation, and mobilization coupled with the highest level of soft tissue treatment at our facility dramatically improves joint movement and usable ranges of motion.
It is very important to restore joint function if you are experiencing pain and/or disability as a result of these joint restrictions, particularly if you have been experiencing repeated episodes of pain or disability. Repeated episodes often lead to chronic problems which affect the surrounding structures: such as the joint capsules, ligaments, muscles, and nerves.
What is the best treatment for musculoskeletal movement?
The best treatment for limited movement is Functional Range Release followed by Functional Range Conditioning and the Internal Strength Model. First create movement in the joints and tissues, followed by using and training the newly acquired freedom of movement for lasting change.
what is Functional Range Release (FR)®?
FR® is a specific manual connective tissue therapy utilized to effectively treat problems in connective tissues such as muscles, tendons, nerves, ligaments, joints, etc. Functional Range Release® technique is a comprehensive system of soft tissue assessment and treatment that was designed using the most current scientific knowledge.
An FR® practitioner will assess the quality and movement of the joints and connective tissue to locate limitations of movement and problematic connective tissue tension. The practitioner will then apply force or tension into the tissue with their hands in order to make connective tissue remodeling changes. This specific form of treatment reduces abnormal tissue tension, increases tissue resiliency, and increases joint and connective tissue range of motion which helps reduces pain, and improves overall function.
